How to work with your recruiter
The foundation of the partnership between candidate and recruiter is open and honest communication. Following are some important points to remember when discussing your career search with your recruiter:

Do you know where your resume was last night?
As a professional, you need to be in control of your job search. It is vitally important that you, the job seeker, are in control of where your resume is sent and by whom. Partners in Medical search will never present your information to a client company without first informing you fully about the potential opportunity and deciding with you if it is an opportunity you would like to pursue.

Tell us about your job search so far…
We need to know what other opportunities you are pursuing. When it comes time for an offer, we want to help you make the best choice for you. Even if that choice is to accept an opportunity that we are not presenting. We gain nothing by encouraging you to pursue an opportunity if it won’t be the right decision for you in the long run. Partners in Medical Search will never use or share information about your job search to market our other candidates or let others know about openings.

No surprises please…
Please don’t wait until our client has made you an offer to tell us that you aren’t really sure about relocating or that you have a contract that prohibits you from taking a new position for another 6 months. If you get a raise or a promotion, or a new opportunity comes your way, tell us about it. We are here to work with you and help you succeed. If you are honest and upfront with us, we will support whatever decision you make.

Be ready to make a decision…
Partners in Medical Search will be there for you throughout the career change process. And yes, we will constantly ask you about your interest level, what questions you still have, and if you would accept an offer at this stage. This is so that, ideally, when the offer comes, you’ll know immediately if you are ready to accept. Of course, if you have any doubts along the way, just tell us. Your recruiter is a partner in your job search; we can help you consider the options and make the right decision for you.

Referrals…
When you have a good meal at a restaurant you tell your friends, right? When you have a great experience with Partners in Medical Search, we want you to do the same. Tell us about the people you know that stand-out in their careers, even if you don’t think they are looking for a new job. Our business is built on referrals and we are always looking to grow our network of talented people. Referrals, like all of your information, are kept confidential.
